What is your opinion on this statement from the fourth databook.

From what we know:

Obito surpassed him for couple of minutes
Madara surpassed him for couple of minutes
Naruto and Sasuke had rikudou powers for couple of hours.


Could that mean, no ninja has surpassed Hashirama's power on a consistent basis?

To attain a power greater than someone for couple of minutes is not considered surpassing in the real world.

You can gain a power for a certain period of time superior to your opponent by taking implants, however, that does not mean you have surpassed your opponent.

3- Naruto went RM
4- Madara was revived as a edo - notice that edo madara was still restricted of rinne usage so it was basically EMS madara vs hashi all over again, which hashi shitstomps
5- Kabuto got DSM
6- Nagato mastered his Rinne
7- Sasuke got Rinne
