Shocking? It's not Mitsuki, not chocho , not Sarada, not metal lee , not inojin , not denki , not iwabe . It's defnitely Sumire her parents died according to the novels and it seems she's avenging their death . Maybe her parents were root members? The summaries also confirmed root are behind it . But the word shocking led me to believe that someone from Boruto's freinds is the one who did it . The only logical option is Sumire ! That B I T C H though

Eh it's nothing confirmed it's just a prediction indra has but it's possible sumiere might be helping whose behind since the following episode focuses on her even tho the other girls with her were also attacked.

If it is sumiere it will be interesting to know her motivations it seems she's not being controlled by that chimera thing and a couple episodes kind of hinted she might have a interest in Boruto it might be in reality she saw him as a threat in ruining the harvest plans.
