This is because Women generally have to bear children multiple times and so as to support both the Baby and Mother, their Genetic Makeup has to be superior than Men. So Biologically, Women > Men.

However our Society is biased again Women and do not pay them equal attention compared to Men (For example, Parents will pay more attention and care to a Baby Boy than to a Baby Girl). The Bais nullifies the Biological advantage that Women have over Men so it leads to equalization, i.e; Men = Women. But in some countries the Bais is so strong that a Misconception has arose that Men > Women.
