OT: I could really care less who wins the fight. The power ups are too retarded and it's far too late in the series for the fabled rematch. Wish this would of been resolved two hundred chapters ago.

The story is essentially a crippled horse. Someone needs to just end it's life already. The war arc was mediocre. The last hundred chapters have been painful at worst and sub par at best. More of the former, though. Power wise? It's going to be like watching DBZ, big explosions with the mentality that whoever shoots first wins. I at least can hope to see Sasuke use some interesting Rinnegan abilities, so I suppose it gets a plus for that.

I mean, reusing the Juubi Jinchuuriki concept, only to throw it away for a spur of the moment villain who had ooze talk for her really is the way a story should be.

This is all exactly true. IMO, the final villain should have been at Pain or Nagato's level. These powers are 100% unbelievable.

I would of been content if Madara and Hashirama were downgraded to be around a Prime Nagato. Living legends is cool and all, but being able to have the supporting characters do something instead of gawking at their opponents is even better.

it's all just pointless power inflation. Really, the 8th Gate should of either remained a mystery or given him the power of at most a capable Kage. Him surviving the gate was infuriating, but that was more of naruto's fault. Kamui, especially Kakashi's, is the most boring technique in the manga for me. So quick, precise at it's height, and near impossible to counter. You either were a literal top tier, or you could get a limb removed. I find Kakashi's variant much more offending than Gai's. Just me, though.

I actually agree with you two. The power scaling after pain (even including pain to some degree) canceled out just about everyone, to throw an arbitrary number out there like 95% of the NV was fodderized. This could have been fixed if kish handled this war like he showed the last one to be like. Pocket gorilla warefare that was quick and deadly could have been a great equalizer in the ninja world. Portrayed correctly it wouldn't take any many side stories or flashbacks to elevate say someone like Kiba up to peerage.

The war arc had so much potential, in all honesty. But the way the shinobi fought them at the first battle was silly, charging head first? I always pictured it similar to what you're saying. Small groups together and fighting small enemy groups. With the larger battles being chaotic and more like a trench warfare scenario. But, Jounin and Chuunin rushing in with kunai? Absurd.

The power level could of been fine, or at least how obnoxious it became, if Kishi put more time into the actual war. A good amount of Edo Tensei were a medium ground level for the newer cast. I would of been fine with more emphasis on them, maybe show a few Konoha shinobi we know take on Kakuzu again.

But, bigger explosions were needed or recommended to him I suppose.

A slang term that actually began it's use in the late 60's/early 70's. Popularized by the pop culture of the time. Used to describe something very favorable or pleasing. Great. Very nice.
