Incorrect. Naruto wanted to stop Sasuke without killing him, Sasuke wanted to kill Naruto, but look at that Naruto is still alive and Sasuke is unable to do anything. So Naruto wins.

Naruto=Sasuke. His loss only manifests in the fact that his plan was stopped, its obviously not in the power department since they fought at full power and ended up in the same condition. You could have a rock for a brain and come to the conclusion that they are equal in power.

I know. That's the only way Sasuke lost, because his plans failed. He didn't "lose" the power struggle, the fight. It was a tie.

Naruto wasn't at a disadvantage, just another excuse that fans have made up because Naruto didn't dominate Sasuke like they expected him to. If you can show me him lacking anything stronger than what he used against Sasuke in their final clash, then I'll admit that he was at a disadvantage. Until then, its all fanfic.
