For your first example: Iruka states it, and he says 'Said to be the strongest of all'. That doesn't mean he is. And I doubt Iruka has knowledge of Obito/Nagato/Konan/Danzo/Itachi/Ootsutsuki family's strength.

And second example...Hiruzen is the one saying it, in the attempt to cheer up his team.

And the problem in his prime is that he didn't know all of the jutsu, meaning no Neutralizer.

Danzo lost cause he wasn't better than Sasuke. Yeah he was old but he could still fight,yeah he didn't have as much power as he did when he was younger but he also didn't have 10 Sharingan's and Hashirama DNA to escape death with when he was younger. If you want to use age then what about Sasuke? Danzo was years older than him - that = way more experience,so can't we say Sasuke would do better if he wasn't a kid and was in his prime?

Also the only time where Sasuke looked like in insane douche was when he laughed and shouted to team 7 that he's going to kill everyone in Konoha and in the end of chapter 574 when he was speaking about Itachi.

As for parings - NaruSaku is the best one and can very well be cannon,and most likely will be for obvious reasons.

And when he attempted to kill Karin despite her being both innocent and loyal. And when he tried to kill Naruto to prove a point at the end of Part 1. And when he tried to capture Bee, which would leave him to a horrible fate. And when he mercilessly killed innocent samurai for getting in his way. And when he planned on leaving Suigetsu and Jugo for death.

He used the Chakra Absorption ability to absorb KB's Bijuu power to bring Nagato back into his youth thus allowing him to use his full power. He used all Paths powers with Nagato.And his plan to capture Naruto and Bee was better than Nagato's.

Actually no, he was crippled when several bombs went off at his feet. He could've recovered from the usage of the Gedo Mazou, however, without the ability to use his legs, that would basically be pointless.

There was no way to heal his legs? Maybe he couldn't, why couldn't Kakshi heal his scar? Why couldn't Madara heal his spine (notice he's crippled when he meets Obito) and Madara had the Gedou Mazou. Besides which, Nagato is clearly freakin half insane when he fights Naruto.
