Obviously... That's the point of this war arc. To show off new found features. Naruto is currently the strongest living ninja in the manga. That much has been true the second he got KCM, then BM. Now, a common misconception about being the strongest is, this does not mean you can defeat anyone. A fight has too many variables to determine a logical, and equally obvious winner. Unless it's a fight like Iruka vs Pain. Naruto is simply the man in NV that could defeat almost anyone else that's alive with the best chance of survival. Sasuke is probably tied with the rest of the kage in second. Naruto is stronger than Sasuke, but when Sasuke gets his new upgrade, they should be equal. The reason Kishi wants them equal is because it makes for a better fight.

Kishi wants us to think he's stronger because he is stronger. That's the whole point in Naruto finally combining forces with Kurama. :sy:

Sasuke specializing in Amaterasu, Itachi specializing in Tsukuyomi, and Madara specializing in Susanoo, are all misconceptions. Sasuke controls the flames with a separate technique, Kagutsuchi, the 2nd power allowing him to unlock Susanoo. Itachi and Madara (more than likely) simply have Tsukuyomi whereas Sasuke doesn't.

Fun fact, Kagutsuchi is the Shinto god of fire, brother to Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and Susanoo.

They've always been equal, just not when fighting each other. When fighting each other sasuke > naruto. Without them fighting or sasuke fighting Naruto seems stronger than sasuke.
