Same, Bugsy? Like WTF. To me, the idea is original but stupid. You have a bunch of ridiculously stupid pirates going around, who look like they just popped out of a bad Scary Movie 3 remake attacking everybody, trying to get treasure and some have special abilities? :shrug:
I hate Buggy too and would gladly have him destroyed, but that's not reason to call stupid or ridiculous a series like One Piece. You only saw the Buggy arc? Then you can't judge.
First impressions aren't th best always. when I first watched Naruto, I hated it. Why? Because I literally said "Naruto's a stupid kid who can multiply himself and crossdress, Sasuke is a very strong and very asexual emo and the only word in Sakura's vocabulary is Sasuke's name.". And then I kept watching, because people kept recommending it. And I didn't regret it, because then I saw Naruto vs Neji and Hinata vs Neji and Gaara vs Lee and Shikamaru vs Temari and Naruto vs Gaara.... the Chuunin Exams hooked me up and I became a great fan. But even so, I prefer One Piece, after having read both amgnas and seen both animes (yes, Naruto's lamest fillers included... another thing I like about OP is it's few fillers, because when they do have fillers they last between 2 and 10 episodes, not more than that!!)
