pay respect to your elders. This has been bothering me for some time. I met this 17 yr old and she asked me why im into anime when i'm so old already (i'm in my 20s). You young people think that your generation invented anime, hell no. Pokemon started with my generation back in the 90s, we were rockin red and blue version way back in the gameboy days. And we would go watch Pokemon movies at the theater and they would give us cool cards. We were already watching japanese subbed dragonball gt episodes on video tapes when dragonball was not even heard of in the U.S. We saw Samurai X way before Rurouni Kenshin ever came dubbed into the states. And you think Attack on Titans is gory, wait til you see Ninja Scrolls. We watched Ninja Scrolls on VCR tape and it's been creeping out little kids since 1995. We would wake up every saturday to watch brand new episodes of Yugioh on kids WB. Fast forward a year, and we would watch Toonami/Cartoon Network that showed DBZ, cardcaptor sakura, sailor moon, inuyasha, yuyu hakusho. Dont get me started with Trigun, cowboy bepop, gundam wing, outlaw star, soul gatekeepers, vampire d, witch hunter robin, lain, ghost in shell. These were ALL shown on local cable channels when we were kids. Try finding a dedicated anime channel on your local cable these days, there is NONE! You would have to pay for the premium cable channels or something to get it. But back in the days, anime was shown on local channels!
Anyway, this is all for my rant. Kids these days don't appreciate their roots. Maybe when you kids get older, a little 17 yr old will ask you why you're still into anime. :eww:
