anime movies and tv shows are all lazy 100% digital rush jobs nowadays. What happened to the old 90s style animation that gave us masterpieces like End of Evangelion. That sort of animation made things feel more visceral, auntentic, and real like a real film, it felt like stuff was actually happening to the characters. If EOE was animated like these new Naruto movies or God forbid the new DBZ movies then no one would remember it because you wouldn't feel that deep connection to scenes like Asuka getting killed by the vulture Eva's. It's just sad to me that the final Naruto movie can't get respectable animation like those old school anime movies like Akira which Kishi's artwork draws so much inspiration from. It's just hard for me to accept it as true artwork when the visual art is so commercialized and artificial.
