I want to start off by explaining why i despise the Kabuto admiration... I don't feel that as a villain he contributed enough in the story. All he did was hiding in Orochimaru's shadow like the good boy that he couldn't stop being in the first place. Kabuto was a non-threat because what did he do in the war besides the Edo? He was just sitting in the backseat just to get fodderized by Izanami.
I will agree that ending between the Uchiha brothers vs Kabuto was very tacky and unpleasant. The fight started in a nice pace, but Kabuto ruined it with his manipulation tactics against Sasuke. All he was doing is trying to separate them in order to use Sasuke against Itachi. All he was doing was talking about how great and powerful he has become in the recent time.
Kabuto never made me go, "Wow Kabuto is looking impressive in this arc." In fact, Kabuto to me became under Tobi's influence. You see he was out there on his own in order to become strong enough to abduct Sasuke. He learned a ton of new jutsus, but he wanted Sasuke perhaps to obtain his body and sharingan. When i saw him trying to negotiate with Obito in Mountains Graveyard. I felt that Kabuto needed a master because he was a lonely puppy with a missing master.
I don't need to hear the same old, same old. Yes, Kabuto is powerful as Kabumaru, but that's it! He was never really deserving of that power. I mean i can inject a few skin cells to obtain new powers from my master and i won't feel that i'm all that to brag about it like he owns it. I think that's why i never accepted that Kabuto earned those power bestowed to him, because all he did was bitch about how powerful he became to the point of him surpassing Orochimaru.
He forgets that he needed Orochimaru to become that strong. The only thing i can really give credit to Kabuto is on how he improved Edo Tensei and how he got Sage Mode. Edo Tensei is a broken jutsu that he took credit of being his own. First of all stealing something isn't officially yours. When i saw him in the battle against the brothers he just proved my point that even smart individuals go corrupted in the face of power. Let's be honest Kabuto couldn't handle the pressures of being a villain. Itachi made him wet his pants and the poor cobra man sheds a lot of tears because he was confused.
Now, Kabuto can be number #1 in your eyes, but to me he is a non-factor. I hear a lot of complaints especially about Sasuke getting freebies or Naruto being born with ultimate power that made him survive all his fights by plot. At least they actually have techniques and improved them to new heights. Kabuto only originally has medical ninjutsu and sage mode. The rest of his powers like Orochimaru, Taka, Sound 5, and Edo Tensei are not his powers they were just given to him. In the end the mighty smart ass aka Kabuto was taken out quite easy.
Brains on the other hand, Kabuto is smart so i won't take that quality away from him. He figured out ways to improve Obito's Zetsu army, orchestrate on using Madara as his ultimate weapon, and ruin Obito & Madara's plan to have Madara as a live host for the Juubi to take possession on him. So that i can't say he cheated off by a long shot. I also feel that his personality was too cynical for my take on a evil villain. If Kabuto was really an evil villain being his original self would have been better off for him. Not only would he play smart, but act smart as well.
Also why does Kabuto deserve his powers? And by powers i mean all of them? So Sasuke and Naruto who are the main characters of the series that have more relevance in terms of power don't deserve it, but this hooligan deserves all the freebies? I don't know but i feel that's a bad sentiment everyone has here. Kabuto is not strong just a fodder that couldn't stand being a pariah & weakling in everyone's eye. So in other words, Kabuto is weak! Problem fans?
