Because you are too used to crushing lower levels that when you fight higher level guys u makehuge mistakes//this \is due to there being a lack of people on your skill level,the same thing happened to me but to remedy it I befriended strong oipponents to keep my awareness of strong guys up and increase my own skill at the same time.

What's the best way to use Hashirama?
I have Tobirama as my #1 main so I might as well main Hashirama, problem here is he is slow and neither his ninjutsu,tilt nor awakening is terribly useful.

ive won a few online with hashi , never lost with him , his combo's help keep them away from you

I'm big on combo's but his are a tad slow from my experience I tend to have a hard time with Hashirama unless I have a team. Problem here is I usually prefer single matches in tournament rather then teams.

Block immediately after subbing then chakra dash quickly then continue to chakra das/or make him lose enough subs so that u have 1 more than him and just combo until he has no subs or until u prepare for wat u were planning to do

What you need to do is play a little slower instead of dashing to defeat//try letting youur opponent come to you, and if/when you time ur atk right get him in a combo and Cdash him very quickly every time he subs.and plan each and every movement
