Tips on anxiety?

Deep breaths...that's where I start.

Then I ususally clear my head...once it is clear I address the situation at hand...but do it slowly to prevent some anxiety rise.


I also sometimes just take a break from whatever is bringing up the anxiety...go retreat to do something to relieve stress.

Smoking doesn't help...And if it does well...Choose something different. Like Rikerslade said...Exercising does take your mind away from all the bullshit...Anything really keep yourself busy...And whatever is bothering you...Keep it far away from your thoughts.

Deep breathing helps, sometimes trying to think of small things that happened prior in the day that were unique compared to others and why it was unique (I'm kind of weird). Or counting in my head if nothing interesting happened. I do it to try to take the problem at hand out of my mind.

Also, sometimes just finding someone to talk to can help.

I've had days where I left to go to work angry/annoyed/anxious with family members, but talking to people at work makes me completely focus away from the stressor.

the first step is to make sure you have nothing real to fear about. the defenition of anxiety is irrational fear meaning it's fear of something you shouldn't be afraid off. after you realize that it can't really hurt you fight the anxiety by doing what makes you afraid, after sometime the anxiety levels should lower.

Like the others have suggested, talk to others. I would try doing things I enjoy to help me relax, for example; running, swimming, playing video games, watching a bit of comedy, eating my favourite dish, singing, and listening to music. Do activities that will help you clear your mind and worry less. Also, if you can do them in groups with family and friends, that will be even more beneficial to you! Although I use these methods to help with depression, they work great for anxiety too! xd

Keep your mind distracted F.E like play a video game, Watch a movie, also i read this somewhere that going in public places where crowd is glowing can be really helpful, alone/loneliness can only make matters worse.

You can always just wank it. If you have a gf then use her to help you relieve this anxiety. Going to the gym helps out as well.

Do something about it don't just sit there. You're gonna start losing your hair if you do nothing about it.
