[Spoilers] Timeline: The Last Movie, and The Manga.

In chapter 699, we learn that Naruto came from a journey around the world, a bit like Goku before he learned his true identity. I suspect that in the plot of Last, Naruto was not Hokage. Thus, it is fair to say that the Last happened while Naruto was on the journey.

Given that chapter 700 showed a peaceful Shinobi world, and that Naruto is Hokage, I have to say that there is a huge potential that the movie is not cannon. Then, 700 say that something is coming in Spring, and we can expect a shocking revelation.

Could it be that Hagoromo was the guardian of the earth while Hamura was the guardian of the moon? Will Kishimoto take us to the moon or across galaxies in the sequel?

The 700th chapter will be at the end of The Last: Naruto the Movie 5-15 minutes is enough to show that. Then Spring 2015 will start a mini-series to continue "The Last" to show some actions from the kids a bit.
