At the end of part one, Kakashi stated that "to mark that battle, Konoha village was built" ( ). This implies that Konoha village was built after the fight between Madara and Hashirama at the Valley of the End.

This contradicts with recent manga showings where Madara and Hashirama before they fought at VotE. This would mean Konoha was founded/built before Madara and Hashirama's legendary battle.

Idk, maybe they had just teamed up and made an alliance at first.

Then after Hashi finished Madara he created the Village Hidden the Leaves with him being Hokage.

No the village was already made before Madara's betrayal ( ). Madara says, "I can't do more than this, I'm leaving the village", implying that the village was already made before he left.

Possibly. That may be the case. Didn't he also say that the S06P was a myth? This guy needs to take a history course. He may be smart and knowledgeable, but his history knowledge is very lacking.
Well it's not his fault. As the time passes, history is forgotten, rather few people either tamper history or want others to forget the history.
In the era where Hiruzen is considered as 'god of shinobi', certainly sage of six path can be thought of as a 'myth', as it isn't possible for normal shinobi to think about that power scale. Also I think Kakashi misinterpreted the valley of the end battle with the other battle between Hashi and Madara(the one when Madara got EMS for the first time) after which Konoha was formed.
Or just like someone else said it is just a translation error, perhaps? A viz scan will be useful.

I think it was a figure of speech. Basically, the present day Konoha was built on the foundations and ideals of Hashirama and Madara. The Will of Fire more or less.

I managed to get some of the Base's members to send me the Viz translations of the same page:

Pakkun: "How ironic."

Kakashi: "Yes...
They say this river was born from a scar...
...Left by a pair of warriors, long ago."

Kakashi: "You know, when I watch the river flow by...
It's like it's showing me ... That the battle, like it, will never cease."

Kakashi: "Like the two men...
...Who built Konoha village, whose statues loom over us."

As you can see it's just a minor translation error. :yeah:
