Time
Admiring the world in my final moments,
I turn around to see that thing,
The being called time, the world goes frozen,
As I stare at the one who rules the word like a king.
My time is almost up, so I ask him,
Beg him; plead him, just a few more years,
My desire to stay is more than just a whim,
He stays silent, as if to relish my tears.
He finally answers, with a devilish chuckle,
Denying me, I go numb with shock,
I guess death is humanity’s puddle,
An obstacle never to be overcome, a path too soon to be walked.
My vision dims, memories flash,
As all I love, all I know, comes to an end,
My hopes for the future, struck down with a brutal slash,
I’ll descend into darkness, all alone, with none to befriend.
