1. It's not a matter of who's trying and who isn't. In a nutshell, Sasuke is trying his best to kill Naruto and not get defeated by him, while Naruto is trying his best defeat Sasuke and not get killed by him. They're both fighting the way they need to to meet their goal

2. Two facts: 1. Naruto got hit and took little damage 2. Sasuke proved he can lay a hand on Naruto. See what I did there?

3. The arrows couldn't destroy the TSBs but they couldn't overpower and push through the arrows eithers

The last I won't bother with because they really don't matter. They are both smart in battle and both have stronger techniques than a TBB or Chidori. Again I'm pro Naruto too but can we just enjoy the fight or at least wait until we get TWO chapters of solid action before we start up the wank wagons?

First off, what has Sasuke honestly done since part 1 (or at least during the War Arc) to show he's actually smarter than Naruto? Second, Sasuke isn't in base mode, as long as he has sharingan activated, technically he isn't in base mode. Third, I'm sure Sasuke telling Naruto he'd die if he doesn't get serious indicates he's actually trying to kill him. Fourth, Naruto is capable of bijuu bombs larger than his body, he was leveling himself. Finally, chidori is made to pierce through opponents, the fact that it only knocked Naruto back is a feat in its own right.
