Chapter 2: The Attack
Black smoke rose from the Hokage's mansion where Tsunade's room used to be. Tsunade, Naruto, Sai, Yamato, Sakura and Shikamaru were the Hokage's faces. Naruto was on the Fourth's while the rest were on the First's.
Naruto: What the hell was that?
Sai: It was probably that man we fought. He did say he was looking for Kakashi.
Another explosion erupted over by the messenger station. The armored leapt up from the street and landed on a roof. He took out more pods from his armor and threw them against buildings.
Naruto: C'mon! Let's get this bastard!
Naruto leapt of the statue and ran across the roofs of Konoha's buildings. Before he could reach the man, he shot a purple wave of lightning at Naruto, destroying the roof Naruto was running on. Naruto fell onto the street. Shikamaru landed on the building next to the one the man was standing on.
Shikamaru: You have a lot of guts attacking us here in Konoha.
Man: My mission is too important to fail. Our last battle was unnecessary. I'll give you one chance to settle this peacefully. Hand Kakashi Hatake over to me, and I won't have to kill you.
Yamato: Fat chance.
Sakura: We'll never hand Kakashi over to you.
She rushed over to the man and threw her fist at him. He blocked by crossing his two arms across his face, which was where Sakura was aiming. She connected with his arms, forcing him through the roof.
Naruto tried to stand but only managed to get on his knees.
Naruto(thinking): It's like he stopped my chakra from flowing. Got to take in Nature Energy.
He closed his eyes and focused on taking in Nature Energy.
Yamato looked at Naruto.
Yamato: Looks like Naruto is preparing Sage Mode.
The man climbed back onto the roof.
Man(thinking): Sage Mode? I don't know whether to be excited to see the Legendary Sage Mode or cautious.
Naruto opened his eyes as the Sage Mode markings appeared around his eyes. He created a Shadow Clone.
Naruto: Ready?
Naruto-Clone: Let's do it!
Naruto and his clone created an Oodama Rasengan and charged at the man. Before Naruto reached the man, a lightning beast deflected the Rasengan into the roof.
Naruto: Was that a wolf made of Lightning?
???: All this fuss is about me, isn't it? I deserve to at least fight on my own behalf, don't I?
Naruto turned and saw Kakashi standing on a clothes line. He was reading the book.
Naruto: Kakashi-sensei?
Kakashi looked up, revealing he had his Sharingan out. The man suddenly got angry.
Man: There it is! That damn eye! The one that threatens my whole realm's existence, my whole timeline! While you rejoice in the power it's gotten you, you have no idea what kind of damage it can do to my dimension!
Kakashi: What?
Man: Enough! I'll kill you and destroy that damn eye!
Kakashi put away his book.
Kakashi: You aren't for the faint of heart. I must take you seriously.
Kakashi vanished. He appeared behind the man, kunai in hand. The man swung his arm and hit the kunai out of Kakashi's hand. Kakashi made a series of quick hand signs. He leapt back and shot a Fireball at the man.
The man clasped his hands.
Man: Thor!
He struck the Fireball with his forearms, causing it to cvancel out in a burst of flames. Kakashi made the hand signs for Raikiri. He shot his Running Beast jutsu at the man. The lightning-wolf charged at the man full force. The man crossed his arms in front of his body again.
Man: Thor!
The lightning-wolf hit him full force, but the lightning surging from the man's armor kept it suspended above him.
Man(thinking): I underestimated his technique. It might just break through my Thor!
The Running Beast Jutsu pushed him through the roof.
Kakashi: I have to finish this, now!
In the building, the man was struggling to keep the Running Beast from ripping through his upper body.
Kakashi jumped through the hole in the roof, Lightning Blade activated.
Kakashi: Now you have a choice. You can keep up protecting yourself from the Running Beast Jutsu and I'll kill you with the Raikiri. Or you can try and stop my Raikiri and my Running Beast Jutsu will rip your torso to shreds.
The man groaned.
Man: I choose... neither!
Next time: The conclusion between Kakashi and the Attacker. And find out the man's identity and mission to kill Kakashi.
