I hear sensei description of my next jutsu and I scoff.
"It sounds like a lesser version of Kirin." I muse out loud.
I raise my hand out toward the sky and concentrate on my chakra flow and as it begins to vibrate slightly I force it to shoot up in a brilliant lightning streak that reaches the heavens that gaze above us. Strange as the feeling of my chakra being almost completely separated from my body it is not altogether unpleasant.
Realizing I still had more to do I snapped back into focus and began to vibrate the large amount of chakra held within the clouds to vibrate rapidly.
As the clouds began to darken, a thundering BOOM rang loud throughout the field. I looked up as I felt the first few minor changes in the air. I glanced up and saw lightning licking dangerously high above me at the clouds. I turned my attention to focusing a single bolt of the crackling lightning toward the tree sensei had indicated.
The bolt struck with a speed and ferociousness that I had not expected. I jumped back, a little startled, and wrinkled my nose as the air tasted strangely of ozone.
