He's definitely improved a lot as an artist and a writer, though.

I think the slug from the Ch. 4 looks like a different species from the new Katsuya; just look at that belly.

His drawing from 1999 has so much more style and personality than the 2013 one in my opinion. 2013 is filled with flat colors and no variety in line, giving it that amateur photoshop look. But yeah, I agree that his depiction of Sakura has changed for the better.
