[Suggestion] Thread of the Week idea.

I came up with this idea in the shower, forgive me if it's a bit dodgy :')

We should have a thread of the week competition.

Scenario 1.
Thread with the most comments and likes is chosen.

Scenario 2.
Threads come with a 'Thread of the Week' or 'TOTW' button . and whoever gets the most clicks get the award, this prevents troll threads (which unfortunately get a lot of comments) from winning.

Possible ideas for the prize.

-one of those medal things for their profile.
-one week free premium membership for making a top thread.


This way good thread makers are rewarded on NarutoBase and people might put more thought into their threads. Thus producing more quality content.

no ur idea could work IF

the top 10-20 voted threads are inspected by staff and the thread could be chosen by an admin like all other contest - more fair that way

That will surely lead to too much spamming, people will start to use their alt accnts and good threads will lose their identity. The same happened when the thread with 100 pages where given a medal. so no such competiton will be created again.

Neither of the two give even a remotely correct representation of what would be a good thread.

Well more or less, we have something called the Epic Thread award and at a certain point it was tried to make a recurrent thing where you could win it, though I don't think it was tied to a month. People could submit threads, which then, at some point, would be checked by the staff and a selection would be made. Members could then vote in a poll or something along those lines, not really sure. I forgot most of it because the first edition of it never even made it that far. There were not much submissions and what was submitted, was hardly the effort. No one even noticed when it was removed.

We still have got the award, which we can always give in the case we really find a thread that's worth it.

In fact, Cali has a Epic Thread award.

But @OP its gonna be a spamfest rather than quality posts in threads.

@Scenario 2 just keep reloading, or, open up windows cmd, -ping -s -t 1

@Bold; Troll/bash threads are, to be honest, quite like-able at times. AND gosh! How I love replying and spamming to it.



See what I did there? There used to be something like this suggestion, called; Hot thread in the hottest/popular threads of the week.

I remember getting congratulated by members over vms then afterwards getting infractions over pms. U_U

I support the idea but I don't like the way of choosing it, rather let mods/3 member committee decide(committee will be chosen by mods, each and every month), the thread of the weak/month.
