So my thread was in the naruto discussion section and it was called ''Who would win, Itachi vs Madara'' and it was a very peaceful debate discussion about who would win in a fight. It wasn't rule breaking or anything it was very fun to read everyone's opinion and actually it was about to get balanced seeing how obviously the thread would first start off with itachibase fans. But then all of a sudden a random girl (who i assume is the suspect of the deletion) came in and yelled ''troll thread.'' After a hour or so i checked my subscription box and... whala it was deleted, nowhere to be found. Can someone tell me please why a calm and fun thread that wasn't rule breaking suddenly got deleted? It sounds like it was falsely claimed as a wrongful doing or perhaps there are some moderator abuse going on here. I'm not trying to be mean or anything but dang that's kinda shitty seeing your own thread just poof outta existence without a reason given.

Because it's supposed to be in the versus section. But besides that, if some of the posts in the thread are rule-breaking, the threads are sometimes deleted.
Every message was going by all the rules. Also it already had nearly 3 pages, They couldn't have merely moved it? Deleting the whole discussion is pure abuse when it has that many replies.

I recall a time similar threads were left to themselves and they evolved into endless flamewars and spam as it's contagious. I'm assuming moderators are given the task to keep the respective section clean of such things. Then there's the fact that what may seem to be "clean, fun and peaceful" conversation to you may not be so in actuality especially to a Moderator who's task it is to ensure the rules are being kept and the fact that you said no posts were breaching any rules and on the contrary you posted the thread in the wrong section, which is against the rules questions your credibility regarding the rules themselves. At the end of the day, it being posted in the wrong section will override your complaint(s).

Well then just private message an Admin. This thread isn't really gonna get you anywhere. If the person that deleted it was in the wrong, then the thread would probably be restored and they would have some consequences all the same. But if there was some rule-breaking or whatever then you'll know. It's pretty simple, and just remember next time to make the thread in the correct section to start with in order avoid a similar situation in the future, if it was just a section thing.

Did you post the thread in the VS section? If not you have absolutely no reason whatsoever to complain. When you are in ND section, you can clearly see the VS section and its description. You can also clearly see at the top of the section a reminder saying that VS threads are only allowed in the VS section and nowhere else. If you, despite all that, still posted your thread in the ND section, well then you can't really complain a mod deleted it. Especially considering the fact that many people intentionally post their VS threads in the incorrect section and that there by now exist a 100 different variations of Itachi vs Madara. The only thing you could have ever hoped for, was that the mod decided to move it instead of deleting, but the latter is nonetheless a fully acceptable action.

This^.

Do not post versus threads outside of Versus Colosseum.
