Thoughts on the four Hokage

I was having a conversation with a dude yesterday, and he was complaining about the four Hoakages being brought back to life and would have preferred if they stayed dead.. I'm also led to believe that he's not the only one who feels this way.. So what are your thoughts on the four Hokages being revived

I think it's good for the following reasons

1) I see them as a kind of plot shield, no one can even match up to Juubito and Madara apart from the four dead Hokages, the five kages alive, have already got their asses handed to them by Madara.. And if the four Hokages weren't alive, the whole shinobi alliance would be obliterated by now (or at least almost). so I do see them as a kind of plot shield.

2) Second it's nostalgic kind of to see all four dead Hokages coming back once more to protect the village they love. Hashirama tried all his life to establish the village and died shortly after his dream came true, Tobirama died to keep the younger generation alive, both Minato and Hiruzen died to protect the village. I personally think it has this nostalgic feel to it seeing all four Hokages now coming together to protect this village once more

3) This might not be important, but we can finally get to see what the Hokages can do, and some are starting to live up to their hype


The only con to this whole Hokages being revived is that there is no sense of danger in this fight, seeing as the Four Hokages can't really die, and will just keep regenerating.. So what are your thoughts guys?

The plot needs them. and we need to see what they really have, and without them, the whole would be under Tsukuyomi chapters ago..

Yes: cause we got to see Tobirama be a badass...really the only Hokage we hardly knew. Plus seeing the others fight is cool.

No: HAHAHAHAHA so much for that "new generation thing". Old generation prevented a one sided genocide. Furthermore the Hokage screwed the Alliance. I mean the alliance appears and its like "BAND TOGETHER WORLD!!!"....then the Hokage show up and they literally take over making the final fight between 8 active people, and they whole Alliance just sits there, but what's worse is they would all be dead otherwise.

Why show the K11 even do anything if they were to get off paneled....I mean Kishi ignored them up until now why bother with one or two chapters when they disappear.






But I have some faith in the Kishimoto to change it up. I'm hoping we start seeing the old generation sacrifice themselves to protect the new generation....getting released due to human path in the process. One version I've thought of...

Tobirama: Sacrificing himself to save Sasuke (an Uchiha)

Hiruzen: targeted for trying to organise the soldiers like a general...also distracts him from focusing on Shikamaru...the real strategist.

Hashirama: Protects Tsunade or something...maybe a self sacrifice to stop Madara's trump card.

Minato: after transferring Kurama's chakra he moves Naruto from harm but gets human Pathed leaving with a "it's up to you".


Just one of several ideas.

yes and no

manly because the hokage stole the spotlight but the things that are happening in this war are nowhere near like any traditional ninja war so to say that the current generation alone is enough is kinda hard to believe so by bringing in 4 generations of hokage to help out is kinda like the fight of all generations as sasuke and naruto represent the current generation

but the main reason i like the fact that they came back is to see how good they really are but this can also be a bad thing as kishimoto has his own idea of how well each hokage is and that can clash with how the fans imagined the past kages to be like

Yeah it's nice to see their abilities now. But it sucks when Hiruzen is made look like weak fodder compared to other Kages. He should've been revived in his prime, and he would've kicked ass.

hopefully hiruzen will get his time to shine as it will be really disappointing for hiruzen to only pull out shadow shuriken and i hope that kishi could have hiruzen live up to his hype

what else do you expect us to be interested in other than the biggest of the big fishs abilities?

coming to the topic. why are they necessary? mustnt the current generatoin surpass the old? ya its kinda happenineg. but the thing is, it will happen only when Juubito is stopped.

just lok at the 4 hokages, they have all qualities be it strategic,calmness,energitic,chakra monster,speed etc.

what do the gokages have? almost nothing(apart from speed that too from A alone). they are the weakest kages of all generation and thus arent fitto fight any god-tier shinobi.

the 4 hokages are so OP and they dont loudmouth and act intelligently . a guy who doesnt like the hokages revival would most probably be a fanboy of present kage or somethin. the 4 hokages are relevant ot the plot and needed more.

i hope Hiruzen,Tobirama and Minato will show their abilities soon.

Actually revived to fight whom. Obito and Madara isnt it. You really need them. Not only their power but only their knowledge. Also i think those 5 including tsunade can decide on the sixth

not necessarily, i mean he can still do his OP moves(if he had)may be not that frequent even if he is old though it might be less destructive than before(due to his age).

true but as an edo he shouldnt feel any side effects of old age just my guess but who knows im sure kishi will show hiruzen to do something impressive

I kinda agree but I still wantedto know what all of them can do. I would have preferred a flashback but whatever I dont care anymore just wanna see the ending now. Far Tobirama kishi could have showed the whole fight with Izuna which would have been better since we would have learned about Izuna as well

Sasuke needed some relevancy so Kishi had to have him bring the Hokages back. Give us the backstory that we technically could have gotten before.

I'm gonna say I like them being brought back simply for Hashirama. His personality still got me.
