to use mokuton one must have mastered both water and earth.. this was explained by yamato early on.. hashirama's genes/DNA only allow the 2 elements to merge allowing mokuton to be used...

This ^ While I really don't think Naruto is going to be using Mokuton. I do believe that Mokuton was a product of Ashura's chakra as you say. So if Kishi ends up trolling the OP and Naurto does end up using Mokuton (which would be kind of lame) Something tells me that this is how Kishi will explain his ability to use it.

this could be the case however this isnt confirmed..

all we know so far is that only hashirama was able to use mokuton.. and that yamato explained it.. also we know that mokuton is a KKG and the sage said that ashura was born with absolutely no talent pretty much which would suggest that not even ashura could use mokuton..

also just because someone is reincarnated does not mean they gain every trait they had in there past lifes... a reincarnation can be completely different from his past life..

a good example being the fact that hashirama bested madara at pretty much everything the only thing we knows for sure that was passed on from ashura was his chakra signiture

also rather than mokuton being a product of ashura's chakra i would say that having a strong yang chakra is more of a requirement.. since the strong yang chakra from kurama affected mokuton..

so imo to be able to use mokuton one would need a strong yang chakra/lifeforce aswell as water and earth mastery and the blood line trait to combine the 2 elements..

naruto so far only fits one of these requirements

If that is the case then Yamato should not be able to use Mokuton. Sorry, but based on Yamato Mokuton is inherited through DNA, not chakra per se.

Mokuton isn't inherited either. Mokuton has only naturally been used by Hashirama.

Mokuton is just a testament to Hashirama's greatness, IMO.

Naruto will not get Mokuton. Though Mokuton is stronger than any single jutus Naruto has, as you can see from the images you provided. It took Naruto several Rasengan's to stop Madara's attack, and Madara isn't as good with Mokuton as Hashirama was. However, when Naruto uses his jutsus several times in quick succession he will overpower most Mokuton Jutsus.
