Note: I do not favour Naruto or Sasuke above another, as I enjoy both characters equally, but I have created this thread to clear up a misconception which I would have addressed earlier, but now the Sasuke fandom is quite larger than the Naruto fan quantity so I decided to clear some ish up.
Naruto was not handed all his power ups for free. Naruto was born with the nine-tails, but grew up alone. Without the ability to have a parental figure to guide him towards development - even with such mass chakra within him - he was at the complete bottom during basically all of part 1.
Shippuden was where things changed. Naruto learned sage mode, which was NOT handed to him, he trained hard constantly until he'd pass out just to use that power. Then the KCM which was also not just handed power. Naruto had to fight, and deceive a tailed beast in order to utilize the nine-tails power. Then the complete nine-tails wasn't also handed. Naruto fought hard against Kurama's negative energy constantly - which no one succesfully did before him - and managed to change him, making him deserving of his power. You also need to realize that quantity of chakra does not matter, as long as one knows how to utilize it properly as Naruto demonstrates; which is why Sasuke was suprised that Naruto was able to utilize so much Chakra when he first entered the battlefield. The rikudo powers were indeed handed to Naruto and Sasuke for somewhat freely.
Other than that, one shouldn't argue that Naruto obtained his power for free and with minimum effort, his basic storyline involved him working hard to become powerful anyways.
I am open to hear any different beliefs, and what are your thoughts?
