Those Boruto chunin battles are pathetic compared to original

Battles in Naruto were way better .Boruto battles simply suck because of following :

1. Way way too short. Gaara vs Rock Lee battle lasted full 3 episodes back then, just example.

2. No some deeper meanings ,no real emotions , no flashbacks in those fights. For example Rock Lee vs Gaara , Neji vs Hinata ,Ino vs Sakura those battles had some real stuff inside them . We learned what are Rock Lee goals, why he was training so hard, we saw how strong bond between him and Might Gai is , we learned about bad blood inside Hyuga clan, or relationship Ino and Sakura have. Those are battles with some background story and deep emotions inside them.

3. No intense background music. Seriously entire Boruto sucks in this compared to amazing music Naruto had.We don't really " feel " the fight , no that intense feelings.

4. Overall everything has that childish aura.

Full of Mysteries and Goosebumping Scenario's, the OG was. Every episode was like something horror is about to happen.

This Anime has too many childish theme's.

Even Ino vs Sakura had more feelings and I' not even kidding!!!! Someone should ask for them to change the subject of new gen. To founders.

Back then, we could FEEL the thrill of the fight for the character themselves. We could feel Gaara assassin instinct getting overboard.
We could feel the danger in facing Orochimaru.

The MOST annoying thing in Boruto: when they start to ramble on how their goals are worthy. Ugh. Someone please just throw a kunai at them. I can't even.

Thats because the characters are not deep. They are ripped off clones and they will never ever replace the originals. This always happens in any fiction involving next gen characters.

If you hate it why even watch it? Go watch old Naruto episodes if you can't stop reminiscing the past. I personally like this series a lot. Maybe it's because I have a personal attachment to the village and it's characters. I love seeing all the original cast as adults and how their own kids have inherited their skills. The writers are simply building the foundation story. After they've laid the groundwork, they will undoubtedly upgrade the show just like they did with Naruto Shippuden. The kids will become teenagers and will be thrown into more S-ranked missions. They are trying to get to that point as soon as possible by not wasting time with drawn out flashbacks and lengthy Chunin battles with low-skill combat. People just keep complaining about the show but keep tuning in each week for some reason. Why not just go watch something else and come back to it later? It's not like there's a shortage of quality anime out there to watch.

I agree with you..I guess growing up in this peaceful era just makes for a boring chunin exam and that extends to even the intense music we got in naruto...you get the sense the writers and crew aren't even trying...where is the awesomeness?

I havent watched this arc yet but yeah I be with how fast they got to the 3rd exams already.

They should of separately been building the other village genins, or at least the sand, as well instead of giving generic ass filler for the Leaf kids

then finally after 50 some episodes their stories collide

OT: Flashback about what exactly? are u seriously asking for flashbacks in fights? didn't we complain how flashbacks ruin fights? lol. no one has a sad past in the new gen flashback about what?

short? remember this. the movie skipped all of them and unlike the CE in naruto this CE isn't as important since it's even skipped in the manga. in naruto the whole CE was in the manga as well as all fights. U have to be grateful they are even showing us the fights, SMH. Ao vs team 7 lasted 5 chapters each 40 pages. this translates into 6 episodes in the anime. so that's decent

Dude I was 11 when I watched Naruto and now I'm 21 :/
Perhaps the new stuff is amazing for the children and teenagers ... The new gen doesn't like Naruto as much as I loved (I suggested Naruto anime to my nephew and say what ? "it was boring , stopped at episode 25" said my nephew . I mean ... Really ? Episode 25 when Zabuza arc is ended and I started loving Naruto , and he stopped there ? But perhaps he likes new stuff like Boruto ... Perhaps his problem is that Naruto anime is a bit old fashioned .
Perhaps we have to let the new manga be for the new gen ...
