First off, we learned for a fact how hagoromo unlock his rinnegan. Kaguya was controlling Hamura as pawn and hagoromo had to go through the trouble of fighting his own brother. Hagoromo impaled him through his chest which nearly killed him and he unlocks the Rinnegan!!!

We learned there are one more Ootsutski who are threat to Kaguya. Who is that third Person??? We'll see in the Next Boruto Manga!!!

For all intents and purposes that was Hagaromos PS

We know that they fought the Juubi for sure, I'm sure they didn't simply fight it at their regular sizes. The Juubi dwarfs mountains and a human is like .00001 size of a mountain.

I guess if you think it's garbage because kishi didn't pen it then I suppose you'd have to not enjoy most of the anime or really a lot of anime.
