It's crazy! I say that because Madara named the village an every Uchiha that had high lvl doujutsu from 3T sharingan to EMS all ended up leaving. Maybe Madara leaving the leaf was like a curse on the clan because they were thriving as they had a whole clan while their rivals the Senju only had 2 warriors left.
