Anyone else afraid of this show being focused on the Otsutsuki rather than ninja's? I'm not really all that keen on the basics and fundamentals of the show being abandoned in such a way.

I personally find no fascination with the Otsutsuki because its quite clear what they are; an alien race bent on galactic domination. I want them to bring back the war of ideals and philosophies. between shinobi.

Its too late. If Naruto wants to DBS so bad then let it try. We'll see where it goes. Boruto will end up becoming a god by the end of the series and people will only watch for the fights.

Honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if the leader of the Ōtsutsuki Clan looked like Frieza.
