This may sound silly but in a way minato should thank obito for causing the events...

The reason i say this is because even though what obito did was evil cause his actions led to both of naruto's parents sacrificing their lives in order to protect the village and their son by sealing kurama inside naruto making naruto kuramas jinchuriki thus making naruto an orphan not knowing what it's like to have a mother and a father and a loner cause he was jinchriki to the beast that killed many and almost destroyed the village when you think about it, if it wasn't for obito's actions naruto wouldn't have been made jinchuriki of kurama meaning that if naruto didn't have kurama he wouldn't of been able to save the village against painand he wouldn't of been able to put up a good fight aginst the likes of obito,madara and the jubi and naruto most likely would have died cause if you think about it kuramas chakra has come to naruto's rescue many times and now naruto is able to use it to protect the allied forces in the war so that they can survive and put up a good fight against the enemies.

The whole point of Naruto becoming the Jink was to fight Obito. Without Obitos attack Minato and Kushina could of guided Naruto to be a shining star of awesomeness..

Who knows? Maybe Minato could of helped avoid the Uchiha slaughter..

Agreed. Wouldn't it be funny if obito was manipulating people to help go against madaras plan after he realized what he'd done was wrong. I know its a long shot but maybe obito used a wood clone and kakashi used a shadow clone In the kamui dimension and they're chilling somewhere waiting for madara to be defeated.

If obito hadn't done any of that none of the current events would have happened sincenobody would have talked Nagato into making the akatsuki what it is now meaning that jiraiya wouldn't have died naruto wouldn't have learned sage mode uchiha massacre would have occurred since itachi really couldn't kill the whole uchiha clan without obitos help the uchihas coup d etat would have gone underway and the 4th ninja war would have come earlier than in this timeline
