This manga wants to make me believe Tobirama was a bad guy...

Madara was over-reacting. Tobirama was no massmurderer. The Uchiha-clan were sick of Madara too... That says enough.

It really wasn't he was a bad guy. He like Madara stay hung up on the clan idea ideaology and gave rebirth to the Senju/Uchiha conflict. And Madara saw this, while trying to move over with Hashirama into peace.

I've never considered Tobirama a racist.He,unlikely his brother,was a very pragmatist individual who couldn't really pretend that the Uchiha problem would be solved with his brother's methods even though they could for me but Tobirama didn't want to gamble the future of the new village like that.
And we have to consider what The Uchiha did to his other brother and all the other problems the Senju Uchiha feud created...
i can't really blame him in the end.

But actually I like this character very much. Even more now. From the moment Edo Tobirama came, I already liked his attitude. But in these flashbacks... He actually acted like the 'realest' ninja from that era.

Some people calling him a racist? C'monn. Why is he a racist? He just loved his clan and he was ready to fight for it. He also understood, as the first one, that Madara will always be a danger. And he was right. AND when he was Hokage, he sacrificed his life for his team, and one member of that team was an Uchiha. So no, Tobirama was not a racist, he was a realist!

I have the feeling Kishimoto wants to give us the feeling Tobirama is an agressive person. But actually Tobirama is one of the most believable characters from the entire manga.

Tobirama is a bit cynical and he is quick to negative judgments when the Uchiha's are concerned. But I think his realism is to counter and balance the idealism and naivette of Hashi. I mean kill yourself when the enemy is down in front of you and in your power, wanting to make him the Hokage, when it was infact your willingness to kill yourself that led to Konoha being formed. I think you need a realist to balance someone who thinks Susanoo showers lillies

Tobirama is like Hashirama he just wanted what was best for the clan and the village and wanted to protect it. Hashirama would try reason with Uchiha while Tobirama wouldn't cause of the past and what has happened.
That's the main difference I reckon.
