What does this mean?

"I learned the lines and talked the talk."
"But the road less traveled is hard to walk."

These are the lines from the song "Fix my Eyes" by For King and Country.
Can anyone describe what they're trying to say here please?

Thanks!

I learned quickly and could hold my own.
However the life I chose was difficult.

And do your own homework next time.

Do you know the expression "You can talk the talk, but you can't walk the walk?"

I think these lyrics are saying that even though this person was able to "talk the talk" (learn the part), they weren't able to "walk the walk" (play the part).

This will probably at least clarify it a little for you.

Basically he can hype himself to be great but fails to actually deliver... just like Kaguya and Prime Hiruzen.

It actually might be something else entirely. "Road less traveled" is an allusion to a poem, in which it represents being independent/original and the idea that people will never achieve anything by following the same tried-and-true 'path' that most others walk. So this person has learned how to fit in with the rest of society by observing and mimicking what other people do/think, and, in doing so, has lost their own sense of identity (since "the road less traveled" represents acting upon one's personal beliefs). It also makes sense in context, considering the title of the song. It feels a little weird though, the way the lines are juxtaposed makes it seem like a sudden, drastic change of topic.
