Yeah, I had a feeling it was going to be a Byakugan and yeah, I also foresaw the person who ate the Shinju fruit would gain an eye that resembled it's own.

The latter because of the Adam and Eve story, whereby Eve ate the fruit from a certain tree that gave her knowledge and knowledge is a form of insight, an increase in awareness, much like Kaguya's eyes.

I woulnt mind byakugan to be powerful at all, but it isnt and that is why people grasp at kaguya's power via byakugan.

You have to realize that its not byakugan that makes her powerful but juubi fruit and raw quantity of chakra.

Ability to see through objects (Includes smoke screens, mist, etc..)
Ability to have a near 360 Degree field of view
Ability to see things on a telescopic sight (The reason why they can see the chakra points)
Ability to see chakra flow and control/seal it
Ability to see at super human distances

Don't assume that just because she has sharingan, that her byakugan is useless.

Sharingan's pre-cog only works if they eye sees it. That combined with a near 360 degree view means there's a minuscule chance of someone catching you off guard.

well we all saw the slit on her forhead, which gave it a huge possibility that she had a third eye. but on the other hand when you look at the sages forehead, there is no eye lid to speak of. when we have seen it in better detail it still looks more like a tatto or at the very least a birthmark that resembles his eye.

also the whole needed to sharingan to bring out it's true power doesn't apply here. kaguy has a 9 tomoe sharingan thus taking the potential of hers past even that of people with 2 sharingan. also we always assumed that the juubi had some sharingan rennigan hybrid, but maybe thats not the case. maybe the juubi just had a rennigan with nine tomoe and it looks like it is also rennigan because the rennigan design is essentially a tomoe less sharingan. this version just looks more like rennigan because there happens to be more tomoe in this version.
