Still no, saving a family member is not more ethical than saving 2 human beings.:| What no its not, you know damn well you'd save your ****ing one family member over the two strangers.
Anyways, not really ants are a society that relys on exact teamwork and cooperation, whereas we humans can be solitary and rarely work together as a cause,
Two ants is a huge blow to the colony, as they work a ridiculously larger amount then us,
Whereas one human isn't going to do much to the human population, neither its individual population (town's cities Etc) As their is only one economy,
Ant colonies each have separate "economies" if you will lol, or resources
And no i read your last post...And saw the ignorance and called you out on it U_U

No, harvester ants are literally some of the most disposable beings on the planet. They have at the low end 60 day lifespans, and have little sentience as compared to humans. When comparing this to a creature with skills that have become compound abilities over decades and a memory and complex biological structure along with a 60-80 year lifespan and the largest intellectual capacity on the planet, saying that an ant is equivalent is farcical.
Yet you still have yet to accurately access how an animal such as an ant's biological capacity surpasses that of a human being.
This is true, however human beings have a much greater capacity as beneficiaries than a single ant. However as it is clearly shown, a more advanced sentience also deters this.Ecologically, ants are supremely beneficial to the biosphere. Please continue![]()

This thread is why I hate generalizations.
Species have been going extinct since the dawn of time. There will be a time where this world crumbles at cracks to the very core and all life on this planet will cease to exist. Is it sad that we'll never be amazed by these rhino's again? Perhaps, but this doesn't justify such an outburst of ignorance. Generalizing something as complex as the human mind and will because of something that a specific group of people are responsible for is nothing short of absurd.
Sincere apologies if I came off as rude, but I'd be more specific in what you're talking about. The person I was 2-3 years ago would probably type "I feel terrible, hopefully it won't happen again!", but it'll happen again until "we" drain the world dry of it's beauty.
Interesting... Quote StevieAgent Smith: "I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species and I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You're a plague and we are the cure."
I agree with this guy. u_u
Kidding...
...it's sad though.
Zack would never say that :'(
I don't think it's generalization. Yeah, species go extinct all the time. But right now, WE are causing it. On a massive scale. That's what is sad about it. The rhino is but one example. Just look around you. We are polluting the planet, not even for the sake of survival (I could agree with that) but for money. We are just being greedy. And childish. I just think that we should find a way to reconcile growth and nature. I mean, it's an important part of what we are. We should do our best to not destroy it. I'm by no mean saying with should go back to cave days (eww) but we should mind our surroundings. We can't leave the planet if we screw up

(While Zack is amazing, he's also a fictional character and a figment of someone's imagination.. anyway..)
Your first mistake in this post would be more more generalization.. it's not something I particularly like (while being serious) and it's certainly not looked at as a whole as something that's positive.. it's very ignorant actually. No, I'm not causing rhino's of any form to go extinct. Am I doing something to prevent them going extinct? No... and it's not like it doesn't bother me to some extent. The problem in this thread is that majority of the people in here are looking at human's as one being, one mind, and one motive. This isn't the case at all. Period. End of story. I agree that I am contributing towards the pollution of the planet, I drive a car and the Co2 isn't helping the atmosphere. Though, I don't contribute towards any illegal poaching and I never will. Your entire post is filled with you viewing human beings as one person, which is lunacy.
Not really, I was thinking of humans as a collective. Which is what we are. You yourself or I may not be causing rhinos to go extinct but what about the people that do ?
You can't look past that. It's fact that humans (again, as a collective) are destroying the planet. You can't just say : Not my fault. You/I benefit from everything that we achieve as a whole. One single person cannot change our course but we are living in society. We have to accept that what we do affects others. Look at, say the Chinese or Indians. You could say, how does it matter that I have 6 children ? But it does. Why ? Because you are not alone. What about the millions others that could want to have 6 children ?
No. Not at all. We don't have one mind or one motive. But are you saying that we do not share some cultural traits ? With the people living close to us. That's what anthropology is all about. Culture. It's everywhere. You wouldn't be the way you are if you had been born somewhere else.
This thread is why I hate humans. Hypocrisy everywhere.
