Ok, I have been wondering for a long time, what chakra nature is the Shadow Clone Jutsu and the the Naru clan's Shadow techniques. I never understood what it took to cast such a jutsu. Like, if its just focused chakra or something, couldn't anybody use these techniques?

Non-elemental jutsus like the Nara clan's shadow binding jutsu use yang chakra, while genjutsu such as the 2nd Mizukage's mirages uses yin chakra.

The techniques are not elemental techniques, but rather just used by utilizing pure Chakra. Technically, most people would be able to use them, but seeing as the Shadow Bind is only taught to members of the Nara clan, outsiders are prevented from using it, since they simply don't know how to. The Shadow Clone jutsu is used by a lot of people, the main reason not everybody uses it is because it requires above average Chakra reserves.

Regular shadow clones aren't any chakra nature, its just chakra(although a change in chakra nature can be added). As for the Nara clan's jutsu, its also not a change in chakra nature. It's a hidden technique that could in theory be used by anyone who was taught it.

You would think anyone should be able to reproduce the jutsu, but they can't.

It should be considered a Kekkei Genkai(tech limited to inheritance by blood) since well it is a Hidden Technique that is only acquired by tradition between clan members.

No one outside the clan will be allowed to learn their techniques or jutsu.
