Apparently Rasengan = Chidori.

Naruto could have easily taken a moment to enlarged his normal sized rasengan into a Big Ball Rasengan and taken the victory.

Logically, Big Ball Rasegan > Chidori

None of which are stronger than the actual Chidori. Maybe Yin Chidori, but that's probably gone with the seals.

The shock wave of his chidori shattered the pillars and ground (might wanna rethink that TSB vs Chidori shock wave I was talking about ... uk who I'm talking to)

But it didn't go as deep (no homo) because its lightning vs lightning, raikage body itself is strong, sasuke wasn't at his best, and this is also were sasuke chidori has gotten to kakashi's lightning blade level (S rank, he cut through lightning).

But yeah like I said this is pre MS, not full powered sauce.

Rasengan has no element, so if anything has the "elemental superiority" it's chidori.
Not to mention rasengan itself is a incomplete tech.

And finally the power of rasengan is based on size. The only thing you were correct it was sasuke's chidori matching naruto's puny rasengan.

In the manga scan of Sasuke vs Raikage you just showed, it was the impact of the chidori colliding against the shield. It wasn't just because of the chidori. Just like in part 1 Rasengan vs Chidori the destruction around them was due to the impact of both of them. Chidori has only cutting power, It's the rasengan that has that 'pushing away' affect. There is no elemental superiority between base rasegan and chidori

Its clear Sasuke had killing intent while Naruto did not, he simply attempted to match Sasuke's attacks in the beginning stages of their battle while trying to talk some sense into him.

Also, Naruto did not attempt to fight Sasuke in his RM cloak at the beginning of the fight nor did he use TBB barrage or Bijuudama flash
