This is how Obito + Kakashi got MS!

So, it is not totally 100% confirmed that either Kakashi or Obito have EMS...but they do have...simple MS...

This is my theory to how they got their MS!

As we now know, Obito had a huge crush on Rin, he loved her but those feelings were not mutual...so after whatever happened to save Obito from the boulder etc (details will be revealed as series continues)...

Eventually Obito kills Rin, this immediately activates Obito's (Tobi's) MS and allows him to transfer himself into another dimension...just as he has been doing for the past series...

but this is where my theory gets a little tricky.

As both eyes stem from the original body, i think it is safe to assume that if one eye from a person gains MS, then the other one receives the same...So Kakashi got his MS...

Usually, the problem with this would be that Kakashi didnt show to have his MS until early Shippuden...he also suffers to control it at the time.

A continuation of this theory would be ^^ that as Kakashi has the eye of a non-clansmen - and he has taken someone elses eyes...there is some sort of a 'lag' in the time between where Obito killed Rin, and the time Kakashi's MS activated (or he just doesnt realise he has the power until later).
It is obvious Kakashi only recently discovers his MS in shippuden as he is only able to use Kamui twice whilst fighting Deidara and cannot fully control his aim etc.

What do you think about my theory...keep in mind this isnt about the other plot holes such as Obito's age whilst fighting Minato etc...just the inter-relationship between Obito and Kakashi's MS and how they both have unlocked the ability even though Kakashi seems to have done nothing for it (killing your best friend)

a delay could be real but he would just not notice its like "ooh my eye in tingling thats not weird" then 3 years later "holy crap that tingling was a massively op technique called ms howd i know know that kakashi one of the smartest ninja ion the series =0" but yeah a delay maybe because he didnt accually kill her i could believe that

Influence of Madara perhaps...or maybe its the other way around!

Perhaps Kakashi felt responsible for Rin's death, Obito wants revenge, and the feelings of responsibility that Kakashi had activate the MS...the plot hole there is only that im not sure if there would still be a time lag...but its a cool idea to think that Kakashi set the monster of Obito free upon the world!

i made a thread questioning Obito's motives a while back...suggesting possible theories etc...it got ignored pretty badly, so i wouldnt bother, most people just leave it to kishi to reveal XD

why do people think you have to kill someone for ms to activate all you have to do is FEEL the emotion of losing that person lets say for ex obito is doing his daily thing where ever he is after boulder smash he finds out rin has died he feels the emotion for that person dieing GET IT!!!!! no more obito kills rin okay cause its never gonna happen

from what i remember...Itachi said to Sasuke that for him to 'unlock eyes like mine, you must kill your best friend'...
even if not...Losing Rin would spark intense emotions and cause him to gain MS...causing kakashi to, and causing the time lag...it still makes sense with my theory...

i dont understand why you think pointing that out somehow puts a flaw in my theory...

i thought about this idea that kakashi didnt realize he had ms since the attack of the kyubi back then.since tobi keep on using kamui against the 4th. that the only way he had ms is cuz of obito achieving ms in the 1st place. but then again that tobi might not be obito.

Zetsu...thats why tobi has his face looking like that, and his right arm regenerated after konan was attacking him.
