i searched forums and websites and its about the last page..

madara says "he has become like the HERMIT of the 6 paths"

Is this a translation fail and instead of hermit he is meant to say sage? I see that this happened earlier in april but is it really a translation fail? Or is there another person other then pain of the 6 paths and the sage of the 6 paths ie the hermit???????????

Hermit is another translation of the same word. Same thing almost.

Kabuto also made this statement during his fight with Sasuke and Itachi.

Also Hermit and Sage aren't really synonyms a hermit is someone who lives alone away from society and a Sage is someone of great knowledge especially in the mystic arts. However they may both share the same Kanji, I am not that familiar with Kanji but I know some words share Kanji.

Hermit living alone prior to the SO6P Becoming the leader of the Ninja world and leader of men. He was a Hermit exorcist who travel the world sealing demons.

Hermit is another name for Sage. All sages use that as a title. Jiraiya, Naruto, Kabuto, SO6P, etc. When they enter Sage Mode, it's known as Hermit Mode as well.

However, the Hermit part only actually takes affect only when that specific sage is a teacher/sensei. So since Jiraiya is Naruto's Sensei, often in the manga, you might have seen Naruto call Jiraiya something along the terms of Hermit. Since everyone in the Narutoverse considers the SO6P the founder of all jutsu and knows of his teachings throughout the world of his findings, they can call him Hermit as well.

So, if Hermit is used to describe Jiraiya (only if it were Naruto, Nagato, Konan, Yahiko or Minato) or Rikudo (everyone who can use jutsu), then the translation is accurate. If it is used to describe Naruto, Kabuto, etc. (unless they become a sensei later), then it is inaccurate (unless Konohamaru were to refer to Naruto as Hermit).
