it was a pain to quit, but this is a better substitute because it requires thinking and people are a lot nicer, other game cost money, was frustrating etc and u had to spend so many hours doing it...
we used to host gambling, in the game after a trade is made it cannot be reversed...
people would attempt to 'bet' against eachother using a dice in game, making up different games...
we played 2x6 dice - highest number wins
12 being highest...1 being lowest...
but if u won against an opponent there was no guarentee they would give u the $ in ingame currency because the trade and the roll are done seperately...
thats when 'middlemen' were thought of...
someone to hold the money and be trusted to pay the winner after the roll...
they then took 10% off the total pot of the bet...
1m gp pot = 100k (100,000) gp profit for the 'host'
