Hello, i'll be teaching you the art of fire, but before we begin, i'd like to ask you to answer few rather simple questions.
1.What can you tell me about fire (general description, it's strengths and weakness etc etc)? And no copying from Narutowikia please.

Jutsu 1:
As I turn and face my sensei I take out two shuriken from my pouch. I place them in between my fingers on my right hand and throw them at my opponent (Sensei). While throwing, i expel Katon chakra from my mouth, igniting them on the spot.
Jutsu 2: Once again, I turn and face my sensei's clone. I gather up a supple amount of KAton chakra into my mouth and expel it at his clone, igniting it then poofing it away.

I gather up the flammable katon gas in my lungs and prepare to blow it while I hold out my zippo lighter. I light it and expel the gas, creating a large fireball that burns Tosen.

The first jutsu can cause the opponent to collapse, allowing a more powerful follow-up jutsu. It doesn't require handseals and the damage isn't as important as the collapsing part. I would use it to cause my opponent to collapse then stab them in the throat with my sword.
The second is focusing more on the damaging aspect. It does require the 4 handseals but can be performed quickly with the right training. The fireball is large making it harder to evade. I would use this to simply damage my opponent or melt some kunai.

Yes the first an advantage is if it connects and causes the opponent to collapse, it opens a window for you to strike them with a stronger jutsu. A disadvantage is the lack of killing power.
The second, a disadvantage is the four handseals but it is made up with the size of the fireball.
