Seriously this Gaiden was a waste of time. Kishi had the opportunity to tied up all this loose ending from the original manga when Kishi promised to deliver Orochimaru&Kabuto as a main focus in this miniseries in regard to why are they being pardoned and why Orocohimaru attacked the Leaf Village but we got none of the answer and instead it brought up Shins creating more question to the table because in the end we had no idea what happen to the older shin and why he hates Sasuke so much; so much that he was used as a plot device for SS pairing.
When I started reading Gaiden, I initially don't mind if there's SasuSaku Development as long as it was well written and it has something to do with the Main Plot but All I'm getting is that SS literally gets shitted on making Sakura even more of a degraded character and it's is filled with pointless drama pairing which leads to nothing to the story, and it's complete irrelevant to the Boruto Movie.
People Complains that The Last was a bad movie because of NH, but atleast this pairing was defiantly written better than SS and it did better job focusing the Ootsutski and explaining Hamura history which ties in to the canon material between chapter 699-700.
Even though Toneri gets soloed, atleast he was a bigger threat to the world who was able to accomplish more goals Which nearly killed Naruto at one point than that crusty ass Shin who gets treated like bag of shit.
