Wasn't this stated to be fake? Either way, that's wrong. It should have been fairly obvious that Hinata was created for Naruto, so any person thinking through the manga's story telling would think that she wouldn't become a pointless character by not ending up with Naruto.

Sakura was the main heroine and Kishimoto created a great deal of chemistry between she and Naruto, a hell of a lot more than Hinata, of which he stated outright that he created. Now he is being forced to make a movie focusing in legitimizing his lack of Hinata and Naruto's development with each other rather than than a full shinobi plot like it should be. But what do I know, right? I'm a NaruSaku wanker, correct!? Acting is a career. Just because she disliked the pairing doesn't mean she would refuse to voice Naruto. I have a shit job at the moment. It doesn't mean I value my opinion more than being able to support myself. She supports the fans and the franchise as well over her own beliefs.



Because she has a right to voice her opinions and criticisms just as much as the next person. Unlike yourself, she isn't a mindless drone.

Oh yes, a thousand people make up the entire Naruto/Sakura fanbase and every single one signed the petition...Oh wait, Naruto has tens of thousands of fans in the U.S. and Sakura makes the top ten in the character polls just under Hinata.

People are free to express themselves through fanart. The U.S. is a democracy, not a communist nation.

And what exactly do those shippers have to be "mad" about? They got their end pairing. They should be happy, and not give a damn about others' opinions unless they are insecure.

That was the problem. Kishimoto decided to stick with something he partially developed in the first third of the manga and virtually abandoned rather than what he vastly developed in the following two-thirds.

It's exactly misfortune lols. Kishimoto stated he felt the only reason he didn't want to go Naruto and Sakura was because he "felt it would have made Sakura look like a bad person," whatever that means lols. Notice how he has virtually nothing to say about Hinata in the interviews?What if he had believed differently? What if he had decided to follow the chemistry he admitted he had set between the two? Kishimoto has admitted to retcon before as well, and the editors and producers forcing him to do things he otherwise wouldn't have done, though if you ask me, if the two had gotten together and he called it a retcon, I probably wouldn't have believed it lols, just as much as I don't believe that nonsense about "Naruto only being attracted to Sakura for the sake of Sasuke's rivalry."

Bro I heard that interview was fake. No one has even seen it on the actual "cover" it was supposed to be on or something (I may be wrong).

Something about the interview being either on a manga page, or in a video, but neither was shown. Just some tumblr propaganda as always.
