That's always been the difference between Naruto and Sasuke. It's a reoccuring theme. Naruto works hard to overcome adversity, and turn his weaknesses into strengths. Look at all the times he's done that:
Bullsh*t.
1) Shadow clones used to be his weakest move, now it's his signature technique
He was never weak with shadow clones. He was bad with ordinary clones. Strangely because he had too much chakra to control. Kurama made him too strong lol.
2) The fox used to be a major problem, taking over and doing massive physical damage to his body, and even hurting his friends. After training, the fox is Naruto's biggest ally and the biggest source of his power
Yes. Lets berate Sasuke for having a handout while Naruto's handout is the same exact thing. Sasuke's Mangekyo made him blind, and the cursed seal eroded his body and mind and he had to die to complete it, while Kurama healed Naruto, gave him chakra, and saved his life whenever he was in danger. Yet Sasuke has a freebie while Naruto had to suffer. And hurt his friends? Guess what? That only happened because Naruto wanted free power and willingly gave himself over to the Kyuubi. Kurama joined Naruto of his own volition, not because of any training, and then suddenly he's a pro at Bijuumode. Without any training. Can share chakra, with no training, and not even knowing such a thing was even possible. Please. This Naruto as a paragon of training has to stop. Lee is the hard worker in this manga.
3) Because of the fox, Naruto originally couldn't perfect Sage mode because he couldn't merge with the toad sages. Now, he can collect nature chakra faster, and use it more efficiently.
Sage Mode can only be used with large reserves. Guess where Naruto's come from? Kurama and his genes.
4) Naruto has never had any real talent with Jutsu, but he's managed to (nearly) master the complicated Rasengan jutsu AND has managed to substantially improve upon it to make Rasenshuriken through training and hard work (and clever application of shadow clones)
This point is contradictory. No talent in ninjutsu yet learning the A rank Tajuu Kage Bunshin in a few hours, a technique that would put Jonin in a near death state by merely attempting it, while Sasuke the "Genius" had to train for days to learn a C rank fireball.
Sasuke, on the other hand, has always gotten things for free:
1) Sasuke was born an uchiha with unusual talent and a "good" sharingan
Sasuke wasn't born with Sharigan, and not being mentally challenged isn't a handout. Naruto however was born as an Uzumaki, so he hit the genetic lottery as well, and had a Bijuu constantly feeding him chakra ever since he was born.
2) Orochimaru gave him the cursed seal against his will
A power he lost, while Naruto received Kyuubi against his will and lost it. Yet somehow this is a freebie for Sasuke yet Naruto worked for it. Hypocrisy much?
3) Kakashi taught him Chidori, a power that he really wasn't ready for, to help keep him away from Orochimaru
How is this a handout? It was learned legitimately. And not ready for? But Naruto was ready to learn Rasengan to protect him from Akatsuki right?
4) Orochimaru gave him the second-level cursed seal, free training, and other medical enhancements
Naruto had Kurama, a free and superior handout with negligible drawbacks while Sasuke had to literally die to get the level two which eroded his body and mind. Free training? People don't pay for training in this manga. And what medical enhancements? Sasuke berated Orochimaru for using drugs, yet you think he did the same?
5) Itachi laid out an elaborate plan to turn Sasuke into a hero and give Sasuke the EMS (and remove Orochimaru's influence from him).
Minato made an elaborate plan (well not really elaborate) to give Naruto Kurama and have him defeat the masked man. I swear what is with the hypocrisy and double standards?
6) Obito performed the surgery to give Sasuke the EMS, and encouraged Sasuke to unlock his power through anger and revenge.
Oh look. Sasuke got surgery to cure the medical problem of blindness, yet that is a handout. I guess Tsunade's operation on Lee, and everything medical ninja stand for are essentially handouts. He didn't even gain anything from it, but curing a handicap. No notable increase in power and no new abilities. Naruto was perfectly fine yet no one bats an eye at his handouts. He was fine yet people were desperate and still are for Minato to give his half of Kurama to Naruto.
7) Hashirama has now given Sasuke some kind of magical jutsu to be seen
You don't know what it is but it's a handout. He only gave Sasuke his remaining chakra and a Jutsu to bind Madara. Nothing that makes him more powerful. Yet just a few chapters back when Minato gave Naruto some chakra no one cared. They actually complained that Minato was being stingy and should give Naruto Yin Kurama.
This is the central conflict between Naruto and Sasuke. Sasuke gets things for free because people are trying to use him. Naruto has to fight hard to turn weaknesses into advantages because nothing ever goes his way at first. Sasuke has a lot of natural ability, but Naruto has the strength of will to overcome adversity. This is why Naruto, no matter what, is more powerful than Sasuke.
There is no difference. Naruto has good genes just like Sasuke does, Minato said he is no less intelligence and Naruto proved it, Naruto has the same handouts that Sasuke does, his are arguably even worse considering they gave him so much, and they aren't a part of him. Sasuke also works hard. Three years of training with Orochimaru, which is more training compared to Naruto's two and a half years, and his hard work in learning the clan's rite of passage the Great Fireball. Getting MS does not remove all the hard work he did before getting it.
Yes Naruto will be stronger at the end. But not due to any merit on his side. Only because the plot requires it. Currently however, he is weaker and lost to Sasuke thrice on panel while never defeating him.
