Actually, the Juubi is a BIG plus side to villians, it has been fodderizing all the time, and it hasn't really received any big damage or something like that.

Also Edo Madara is different from the Madara that Hashi defeated, this Madara is not only the same Madara as before, but also has rinnegan, moukuton and infinite chakra

we don't know for how much before it breaks the restraints(and possibly it will break once it reaches the final stage),and if madara decides to interrupt the process it can set it free.
