The reason Natsu and Gajeel could not pass through the barrier wasn't because that was a rule, but because they had over 80 year old dragons in them

This kinda makes the Natsu END theory a little less likely, because this was one factor people considered for people considering that END is the demon half of END. (People considered that END, being made 400 years ago, makes Natsu also around 400 years old)

Doesn't break it, just makes it a little less likely, though I still believe in that theory

I felt like once Mard revealed the demons purpose of killing Zeref and long before that Zeref said Natsu was the only one that could kill him, pretty much guaranteed that Natsu is E.N.D. The only theory I think that effected was the Natsu and Zeref were brothers.

And the END Theory is that Natsu is actually END or at least the pure version of it (Demon powers removed) Many people consider this, and it is one of the most plausible theories. Basically, Natsu was actually created by Zeref as END, and Igneel managed to somehow seal his demon side in the book of END, which left a pure-hearted Natsu. Some theories vary from here and there, but the main idea is the same.

This theory also leads people to think that END can't be destroyed without killing Natsu, which people used the fact that Igneel simply asked Natsu to retrieve the book, not destroy it. The fact that he said just retrieve made the theorists assume that Igneel knows END is Natsu's other half and therefore can't kill END without killing Natsu.

yeah, i don't see that happening :| I just think that Zeref can see the future.

i still cant get the whole demons trying to kill their creator thing..im kinda confused

Igneel asked natsu to retreave the book because he knows natsu doesn't have the power to destroy it. Also natsu can't be end because when zeref came to him in tartaros for the first time zeref said that only natsu and end will be able to reach him

That's why Zeref created them though. He wanted to stop killing and destroying things, so he created his demons in order for one of them to one be able to kill him.
