this byakugan ability needs to be explained

Neji fanatically worshipped destiny and fate throughout season one and two, in season two he had a different opinion on this issue but he still believed in destiny. Additionally it turned out that Momoshiki had the same characteristics as neji. But unlike Neji's, Momoshiki's prophesy probably became true (judging from the time skip) which means him reading someone's destiny/fate with his Byakugan is a legit ability of the Byakugan, right?

But how does any of this work???? what exactly did Momoshiki see with his byakugan? is something written on boruto's forehead? so many question mane

Honestly that would open up an entirely new world and that would be amazing. The sharingan/rinnegan would have powers that physically affect the world while the byakugan has prophetic and more spiritual based powers. Or maybe Neji was just obsessed with fate, seeing as how kishi has a tendency for foreshadowing I wouldn’t be too surprised to hear that it really was an ability of the byakugan all along

I dunno, if they all could see what the future would bring no one should have been surprised that Kaguya betrayed them & was defeated.. twice. Especially not if Kaguya was surrounded by tons of aliens before leaving wherever.

EDIT: karma is destiny, in Hinduism if I'm understanding it right, hence the ability to read destiny and karma may be related.

Momoshiki didn't read anything in the future imo. The ability is to do with the Byakugan users analytical prowess, if we go back to Neji vs Hinata it was displayed by Neji. He probably read Borat''s personality type and knew giving the Karma(ass pull) to him would destroy him.

Borat''s personality + Karma would be the reason he loses everything. The 7th's death, Hima(his everything) getting killed and Hinata the Hamura level housewife/cook. And we see that via page 1 and the first arc where the 7th's dead and Konoha's wrecked. In the chunin exam and the tech mission Hima was show to be his everything the only one he put above himself.

Anyway that's how I view the "future sight" if not for that then it's just bad writing and more nonsense being pulled from the rear end. It would make no rational sense and would solely be there purely for Boratstaning. Now that I think about it I shouldn't put it past Kodachi he is a second rate writer after all.
