[Discussion] This arc better not be over...

It's raised more questions than it's answered, and that just grinds my gears. It introduced unnecessary plot points and twists, some of which just negate previously established facts as just being straight up lies and misdirection.

Some cases in point:

1) Kaguya and the Shinju being one and the same. How did that happen? Why? Why did she make Hagoromo and Hamura if she didn't want to spread her chakra?

2) BZ remaining apart from her, rather than being re-absorbed, even though he kept saying "it's time to become one with Mother again.."

3) Castles in the other dimensions. Wtf are they?

4) Zetsu army? wtf for?

5a) Madara using Izanagi to escape death at VotE... and then miraculously healing his eye because plot.

5b) Tobirama not knowing that he was dealing with a bunshin corpse of Madara. Really? 'Cause he was poking around Madara's brain. Shouldn't the clone have poofed then?

6a) Sasuke's rinnegan being inexplicably different from anything so far, different from Kaguya's, or even Indra's sharingan. Why does he have this? S06P chakra should have given him normal rinnegan. Especially since we saw that Hagoromo had his purple rinnegan even back when he was fighting Kaguya, i.e., when he was Yang and Hamura was Yin.

6b) Why does Hagoromo now have both Yang and Yin? What happened to Hamura? Why did history forget him?

6c) Why did Hagoromo have red, Uzumaki-ish hair, but neither of his sons did? Kishi always likes to illustrate blood relation through hair (see: Kakashi/his father, Naruto/Minato, every Uchiha, every Uzumaki, Gai/Dai, Gaara/his father, etc.Tobirama seems to be the glaring exception, but Kawarama helped ease that by having both black and white hair).

6d) Were all the Ootsutsuki created asexually?

7) Why didn't Kurama recognize Ashura's chakra within Naruto?

8) Where did Kaguya come from after all? Was there ever an actual Shinju fruit?

9) Wtf was that Rabbit bijuu?

10) Hagoromo released Orochimaru's ET?

11) Weren't White Zetsu's made from Hashirama DNA? Hence Tobirama felt it in Orochimaru's body? Now we're learning that Zetsu's are IT pawns... is this a blatant retcon?

My point is, this arc will pretty much be the worst ever if it doesn't answer at least a few of these within the next few chapters. Many of these should have been answered before Kaguya's sealing to give more depth to her character and more meaning to her end, but, you know, better late then never. So I'm just waiting.

Like, what if we only just now learned who Obito was? Obviously in a completely different scenario, in which Obito just died after Juubito. That's a whole arc later, we find out about the Rin/Kakashi incident, and Madara's manipulation. Wouldn't it feel out of place?

You mean shouldn't have? Because yeah, it definitely felt rushed. I guess Kishi has been kind of busy lately. Apparently he's been directly involved with The Last movie, as well as the whole filler arc in the new Ninja Storm game. So I can see how his attention is divided. However, seeing as how the manga is the very source for that other stuff, and the reason he is where he is now in life, you'd think he'd try his best not to compromise its quality....

That said, I'm optimistic about the New Era Project. Seems like a nice refresh. Kishi's obviously tired of the current series' direction.

No, it was only partly explained. It was just said "the Juubi is the God Tree and Kaguya's will". How did her will get into that tree and transformed it into the Juubi? Why did this happen to begin with?
