Third Raikage, strongest Kage of all time?

the third raikage can beat hashirama, so maybe he is the strongest KAGE not ninja tho, because madara would own him like he did A.......hiruzen would get smashed, the minato would get smashed, hashirana smashed, 2nd hokage would get smashed, sand is not enough to stop him and neither is gold, oonooki and muu might beat him with their dust release, 2nd mizukage might draw because he can't hurt him

Nah.. Stop writing Hiruzen was weaker.
He was Hokage in times when Third was Raikage and Hiruzen was stated as the strongest of all Kages in his times.
Nobody there saw what Hiruzen could do because it wasn't in manga. But if Kishimoto stated him as the strongest, he was probably strongest.

Hiruzen fought when he was old. He wasn't so fast and hasn't lots of chakra - it's one point. Second - He fought to Orochimaru, his student. He won't kill him, it was hard for him. He cried several times in their battle.

If Hiruzen will fight to Third Raikage in his Prime. He beat him in a few seconds.

Fine, no in a few seconds but undoubtedly beat him.

Mu- Having the Particle Jutsu, being invisible, and flying could probably stand a chance, sorta.

2nd Mizukage- Having the ultimate genjutsu, with the mist. You just keep attacking fake images, and he could just attack him, unless he runs out of chakra before the raikage does with his shield.

And of course, Hashirama.

Those three I believe stand a chance.

Not even close.there are some who can best him.
1. Muu/onoki dust release 1 shot kill.
2. Hashirama
3.ems madara(although he wasnt a kage)
4.4th raikage. Cos the son will always surpass the father.
5. Hiruzen cos manga says he was the strongest kage among the 5 kage during his era.(whilst onoki,3rd raikage,2nd mizukage,3rd kaze were kage.)
5.minato. Cos he could use space time barriers(which could teleport TBB) to teleport raikage or only his nukite fingers under the sea.lol.
And besides, there are others who are not kage(like tobi,madara,naruto,nagato,itachi who also stand a chance)

Is the Third Raikage the strongest Kage of all time? I have strong reasons to believe so.
1) As most of you may know, he was know as the human shield, his defense was indestructible. Nothing was known to actually pierce anything, except for one thing that I'll get to later. Even the Hachibi, arguably the 2nd Stongest Tailed Beast, could not pierce through his shield.
2) He has, as most of the Raikages, super human speed. He's as fast as the current Raikage, A. Please, take note that the only person fast than A was Minato. Still, The Third Raikage was even stronger than A. No doubt.
3) The Jigo *Kudzuki Yonhon Nukite, also known as the hell stab, similar to the chidori, but only stronger. The Third could also seal the Hachibi after every time it would go out of control....by himself. By doing that he would use the sealing technique:
Kohaku no Jōhei.
So the Third had the lightning release armour, knew lightning release, took on th e Hachibi, he knew Black Lightning ( this is whom Darui learned the technique from, took on 10,000 shinobi single-handedly, he uses the hell stab; the only weapon able to penetrate his Lightning Release armor, and a Rasen-Shuriken couldn't even penetrate his shield.
So now the only people I can see beating the Third Raikage are Hashirama, just because, well, he's the person Madara has the most toward, acknowledging him as his better. And Minato, only because he's faster and specializes on wind-release techniques.
But anyways, if any of you can prove me otherwise, please, bring it. :3

I hope you guys take into consideration that these guys (kages that were brought back via IWR) are weaker since they are not in control of there actions/body and there DEAD....(and there still so UBER, unimaginably and uncomprehendably powerful...as to be expected from Kages i guess).

Also if they were alive the shinobi aliance would have REAL trouble on there hands, not cause there fooders but there just...too much even for them......<<<ALL THIS IS MANGA FACT.

But getting on topic....3rd raikage is beast and all but i dont think hes the strongest of all time.

Muu and Onoki will defeat him, they can fly and muu turns complete invisible, Raikage can not do either of these thing's, and 'Jinton- Genkai hakuri no jutsu' not only disassembles human's, it can also effect chakra based armor's, it has been proven when Onoki damaged Madara's susanoo with it, also when he cleared all the clone Susanoo from the area.

Hashi can beat him because he has 'Kokuangyo no Jutsu' and Raikage can not sense him, so he will have a hard time fighting him, we do not have sufficient data on Tobirama and Prime Hiruzen so no comment.

I have my doubt's on Mizukage, but still, he tied with Muu, so i think his Genjutsu is strong enough to hold Raikage , but how long it will last that's the real Q because Raikage has enormous amount of chakra.

One more thing here is to note that Raikage is a close range fighter, and the people i mantioned above are all excel in powerful long range attacks,and he only has Black lightning as a offensive move at long range but there is not much shown about it to evaluate it's power against current opponent's, but he will have a very hard time getting them with it, since every one of them can attack from very long distance and avoid his attack, i think he comes in between in Kage tier, but not the strongest.

Okay his detachment of the primitive world technique is pretty cool. But how many times can they use it consistently? I know Oonoki only used two? On Mu, meaning it takes a lot of chakra to use it.

And also the Black Lightning technique is the same one used by Darui. And let's all be realistic, Darui is super strong, arguably, as strong as Kakashi. And the Third Raikage, being the mentor of Darui, I would expect to his Black Lightning to be stronger than Darui's.

Okay. If you finished read the thread you would've seen that I put that Hashirama and possibly Minato could be stronger than him. I could've easily stuck to my ideals and not posted anything at all, but I wanted to see other people's opinions and see their knowledge of other Kage.
And I didn't understand your last paragraph, therefore I can't say anything about it.

Imo im not sure if hashirama could beat him wood helps him none in this battle and he tanked a rasenshuriken i doubt if minato had any wind tech stronger than that

Ok, so a main weakness of is genjutsu I'd say, like A's.

So the Second Mizukage would very likely win, because the Third Raikage would not even be able to find him in the first place.

I would also say that Minato would win with his superior speed and analytical abilities. He could very well figure out how to make the Third Raikage hit himself.

And Muu would also have a good chance due to his invisibility. Provides the chance for a surprise dust release. Or he could just fly out of reach. So could Oonoki actually.

Also I'd say Hashi would have a chance with his puts you to sleep wood release jutsu.

Also it's very possible that any of the Kazekages that we've seen can beat him, because they can fly out of his reach and then lay sand traps.

So yeah! Of all the kages that we've seen those are the ones with the best chance. No one else would really have one AND THAT INCLUDES HIRUZEN!!!
