Third Raikage need not have died

From what we've heard, the 3rd raikage died after facing an opposing force of 10,000 shinobi FOR 3 DAYS on the battlefield in order to allow his comrades to escape. Who on earth takes 3 days to escape? It shouldn't take more than 5-6 hours to escape, taking into account if his comrades were seriously wounded. But 3 days? We have already seen that the 3rd raikage had an almost impenetrable defence along with a devastating offence. He should have easily created an opening for himself and gotten away!

and its hard to escape with 1000 warriors/ninjas chasing you

even if he broke for it theyd still follow and find him

Yeah he was really strong they said his blood was like iron and he was he only who he could teleport using minato technique with out getting injured and he also cut all of the hachibi tails in one shot I think

depends on how far they where from the village (could have been two nations over for all we know and they made record time in 3 days etc

Even if it helped theres no point what he said is just words from the manga and filled with mistakes

I feel that one but we have no idea who he was facing and a true kage sacrifices his or herself for the village and apparently his son was there. it's all about the future of the village. Also we don't know alot about his personality he was old and probably wanted to go out like a kage should!
