If it WAS an important arc, Kishimoto would have written it into the manga...but no, that didn't happen. And instead we got a filler arc that dedicates an entire episode to Asura digging up a well.

I thought it was incredibly obvious that the fillers were, well, what they are, FILLERS...to stretch the series. I hate when someone takes someone's word or mentionings as "proof". That's not VALID evidence, nor is substantial or even can be seen with the naked eye.

You call these things "proof", but I don't see it. What I see is a bunch of psychology, or statements made by word or mouth...that's not proof.

Now, if it were self-explanatory, then there'd be no NEED to provide proof or evidence.All you'd have to do is make a statement and set the record straight, but you can't, cause your claims cannot be seen or observed.It's incredibly inconceivable.

It's a retcon regardless just like how the manga made some minor adjustment to the movie. However the entire foundation of the story arc and the original idea before the movie got published is still the same. The Anime will follow the movie as long as it doesn't diverge the flow of the story

In 2015 interview, The third Ootsutski was named Urashimataro according to Kishi.

If anything the third ootsutski is just another add on addition to the plot and add more expansion and the folklore of the Ootsutsuki clan.

The third ootsutskI is likely a flashback character who serve as a plottool to Kinshiki. However if this characters is at present who got tagged along with Momo/Kinshiki during chuunin exam infliteration then this would stray every thing from what it had established previously.

The only way it would make sense is if the Third Ootsutsuki died by the hand of Toneri prior to the event of the movie.

To be honest I've kind of let go of the whole idea of filler and canon nowadays, when the anime that should by all accounts be filler is providing more than the canonical manga in both quality and quantity...but since 123Filler is such a purist, he'll deny any kind of idea that discredits the anime's supposed canonicity...at all. Even if it would actually add a layer of content to the anime, a new Otsusuki providing fresh and new content to what by all means should be story we've heard way too many times already, he'll deny it. Even though anyone would agree that something like this would mix things up and prevent it from being a total rehash. Anyone would agree that its good.

But he prefers the anime being canon over the anime being good.

And that just annoys the hell out of me.
